My name is Erick Dent and I am a photographer based in Charleston, South Carolina dedicated to promoting an active outdoor lifestyle.

I’ve been shooting professionally for over 10 years, the past several years as a full-time photographer for Vineyard Vines. From covering the Kentucky Derby one week to camping in the Everglades the next, this corporate experience showed me the ins and outs of a seasonal e-commerce capture workflow.

I was born and raised on the gulf coast of Florida where I developed a love for the ocean and the natural world as a whole. My salty upbringing helped prepare me to shoot in many different environments. Extreme heat, freezing cold, bugs, and sharks are regular occupational hazards for me.

Outside of taking photos, I’m a semi-pro fly angler, practiced bush mechanic, amateur tailor, intentional vagabond, and animal control expert to name a few.
